Katy Perry will soon be Katy Brand.
The singer tells Ellen DeGeneres on her talk show that she's "in the process" of taking her new husband Russell Brand's last name. The two married in October.
Though it's not legal yet, people are already calling her Mrs. Brand, telling Ellen, "Sometimes when people try to get my attention. Like if I'm at an event or something like that and they want special attention. They go, 'Mrs. Brand!' and I go shwoosh."
Of her husband she says, "There's never a dull moment. He's a smorgasbord of things. A sense of humor is really important in our household. That's how we de-stress and we like to have a laugh."
