Britney Spears' posh Beverly Hills home is on the market ... you know the one -- the "breakdown" house. Our favorite pop princess has really turned her life around in the last few years, but things weren't going so well for her on the night of January 3, 2008.
The starlet barricaded herself into a room with son Jayden and a several hour stand-off with police followed -- ending in Britney being carted off to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center for psychiatric evaluation. It all went down in this house.
The Mediterranean villa is located in the exclusive gated community The Summit. Now under control of Britney's estate due to the court-imposed conservatorship, the 7,400-square-foot pad has 5 bedrooms (with secure doors!) and 6 bathrooms, guest/maid's quarters, and a kitchen with updated appliances and a walk-in pantry.
In happier times, we're sure Brit enjoyed the manicured backyard with pool and spa, and her master suite which features his and hers baths, a fireplace and a romantic loggia.
This is the second of Britney's former homes that is currently on the market. The Hidden Hills mansion where the 30-year-old previously lived is also for sale for $10 million.
