Ashlee Simpson and Katy Perry both chose the elegant Temperley London Spring 2012 gown for different red carpet appearances. The look is definitely a departure for these pop rock princesses, but who wore it better?!
Katy Perry graced the red carpets in the gown back in April at the 29th Annual ASCAP Pop Music Awards. She brought color to this look by letting down her purple curls and rocking bright red lips.
Ashlee Simpson stepped out in the same dress last month when she attended the HBO 2012 Emmy Awards Post Awards Reception. She took a more subtle approach with her with her swooped updo, minimal jewelry and oversized clutch.
Both ladies were stunning in the embroidered gown — but Ashley wins this round for us. The clutch, subtle pink lip and minimal accessories pieced together an elegant look we'd like to see her more of her in.
