Kyle Richards isn't only a real housewife, she's a real businesswoman too.
The reality star, along with Debbie Weisman and Lizzy Schwartz, own Kyle By Alene Too, a boutique in Beverly Hills (where else?). They've curated some well-known designers (Alice + Olivia, Elizabeth and James, Missoni) and some up-and-comers (Camilla, David Lerner, and Haute Hippie) in a 5,000 square foot showroom that's a fashionista's dream.
toofab was invited to preview Kyle's style selects for this season. Check out 5 spring fashion trends she loves below, in her own words:
1. Blazer
Kyle's take: "A blazer is something you have to have, it's a staple. A bright colored blazer is key, they're not going to go out of style."
Our take: We love this take on menswear. It works with a skinny jean or a dressy short. Choose a deconstructed blazer for a casual look, especially if you're tall and thin.
Who we see wearing this: Jessica Alba, Kyle Richards, Miranda Kerr, Naomi Watts, Rashida Jones

2. Black and white
Kyle's take: "I used to only wear black, and my first venture into not wearing black was white, because I think white looks really beautiful on brunettes. Also, black looks really beautiful on blondes, I like the whole black and white [mix] now."
Our take: This is a timeless color combination. Pair it with colorful clutch or pumps so you're not monochromatic.
Who we see wearing this: Everyone (it works for all)

3. Florals
Kyle's take: "Shorts paired with a beautiful top, either a blouse off the shoulder or a tank top and a wedge, is gorgeous this time of year. A muted floral is really pretty."
Our take: A subtler print and color is the way to go, otherwise you'll look risk looking like a Golden Girl. Floral print jeans are really hot this season.
Who we see wearing this: Dakota Fanning, Emma Watson, Selena Gomez, Whitney Port

4. Peplum
Kyle's take: "After having four kids, I don't love things clinging to me. When it's tight at comes out and hides this little area [points to stomach], I love that's the style right now."
Our take: Peplum is flattering on many body types, but make sure the flare is proportionate, otherwise it can make you look wider.
Who we see wearing this: Emma Stone, Jessica Simpson, Kim Kardashian

5. Leather, specifically leather accents
Kyle's take: "I have OCD. I have to have every jacket with a leather sleeve. I have four daughters and they steal everything."
Our take: Leather has a sheen, so accents will stand out. Pair these looks with simple pieces.
Who we see wearing this: Alicia Keys, Diane Kruger, Halle Berry

If you pick one of these trends you'll be sure to be styling this season. As for accessories, Kyle recommends a pop of color (especially true if you got with Black and White). "I remember seeing Cameron Diaz wearing jeans and a tank top and a bright red shoe," the "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star recalls. "I like the idea of having one thing popping like that. I dont try to match it with anything. I just like it to stand out on its own."
