Kate Upton's no longer just a swimsuit model -- she's officially made her way to high fashion as Vogue's June cover girl!
The blonde bombshell opens up about her career, her haters and her personal life in the June issue of the magazine.
Upton's one of the most sought out models today, and even though modeling is not something she's aspired to do, Kate's proud that she's not just another pretty face!
"I didn't buy the magazines that had models on the covers, because I didn't know them. So I think this kind of gives me, as a model, a personality that people can connect with," she tells the mag.
Adding, “I've always loved fashion,” she says, “but it's not what I set out to do.”
Upton's covered the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition two years in a row -- with her latest cover generating flack from critics calling the buxom beauty "too fat."
Nevertheless, Kate's learned to tune out people's comments about things she can't change ... like her (very big) bra size.
“It was hard at first,” she admits. “You sit there and you're like 'Is something wrong with me?'
“The things that they're rejecting are things that I can't change. I can't change my bra size. They're natural! I can work out and I can stay healthy and motivated, but I can't change some things. I really just live my life. I love my body. It's what God gave me! I feel confident with myself, and if that inspires other women to feel confident with their bodies, great," she confesses.
The 20-year-old is one of the few models who've crossed over from swimsuit to high fashion -- and we think it's great! Kate's body is closer to the average woman's than many of her high-fashion, stick-skinny piers.
But Upton doesn't chow down on whatever she wants -- even though she's curvy, Kate still watches what she eats (which means no Carl's Jr., despite her sexy ad). The model tells the mag her diet primarily consists of chicken, fish and vegetables.
And great news guys -- Kate's a single lady! So why is the blonde beauty still on the market? “My work seems to be my priority at this point in my life,” she says.
