Vanessa Hudgens says she's nothing like her ex Zac Efron!
The "High School Musical" star graces the Autumn Term 2013 cover of Cosmopolitan's Cosmo on Campus, where she says she's not a fan of the Hollywood party scene and gushes about her BFF Ashley Tisdale.
Vanessa started dating her "HSM" costar in 2006, but the pair called it quits in 2010 after problems with their long-distance relationship.
Seems like the brunette beauty is more grounded these days than Zac (he just finished a brief stint in rehab for a cocaine addiction) -- she's not interested in the young Hollywood party mentality.
"I have never liked 'partying,'" the "Spring Breakers" star confesses. "I love dancing, but that's as far as it goes. It's tough because a lot of clubs are everything I loathe, especially in L.A. They're always very ego-filled and people get up to mischief. It's just not a pure environment."
While Vanessa's not a fan of the booze and drug-filled club scene, she'd like to be a part of a different young environment one day: College!
"The older I get, the more curious I become. I'd like to study film or photography one day," she says.
Hudgens not only formed a solid relationship with Zac on the set of their Disney flick, she also made one long-lasting relationship with costar Ashley Tisdale. Today, she considers the actress her very best friend.
"Ashley always says she wants me to be more cautious," she tells the mag. "She thinks I'm too trusting. I think I'm fine the way I am, but she thinks I have a tendency to float around on a cloud, which I kind of do. She's quite protective -- she always has my back."
"Ashley and I have laughed and cried together over the years. She comes to me for relationship advice more than I go to her, though; I try to figure stuff out by myself," Vanessa reveals.
Must be some good advice -- Ashley just got engaged!
It definitely seems like the actress has a great head on her shoulders, and we're excited to see what projects she takes on next!
