Paris Hilton has some interesting thoughts about her latest business endeavor!
The blonde beauty appears in the new issue of V magazine, where she opens up about her latest gig as a DJ and shares how she's maintained a healthy outlook while living in the spotlight.
Paris say's she's always been a fan of dance music ... and her partying past is what motivated her to get into mixing.
"Dance music can instantly make people happy, which is such a powerful thing. I have been going to raves since I was 15 and have always had a love for this music," she tells the mag.
But Hilton doesn't consider her self a certified DJ ... just yet.
"I don't consider myself a DJ," she admits. "I am a businesswoman, and this is just a small part of what I do. I love music and I love partying, so it's a fun job for me."
The 33-year-old is definitely enjoying her new gig, and she's already pretty in-demand.
"I started seriously training about three years ago, and I love it. I've been getting huge offers from all around the world, so I thought, Why not?," she reveals.
The former reality star also says that she wants to get into producing next, but for now she's been working on her new album and she's already done some awesome collaborations.
"Yes, with my friends Lil Wayne, Flo Rida, Snoop Dogg, and more. It's a fun album that will put you in a good mood and make you want to dance," she tells the mag.
Ms. Hilton also says that she's been able to keep a level of stability (unlike former gal pals Britney Spears and Lindsay Lohan) because she keeps herself busy with work.
"I work hard and have so much to be responsible for—my music, my brands, and 45 retail stores, to name a few of my projects. I take every project very seriously and am proud of my work," she says.
"I'm so happy in my daily life that a breakdown would not be possible. If you spend time focusing on creative ways to improve yourself and your work, I think it keeps you going in the right direction. It also helps to have such a loving and supportive family."
We gotta hand it to Paris, she has been able to maintain a relatively healthy public image.
Oh, and for those of you who are hating on Hilton's DJing career move, she's laughing all the way to the bank!
"There are always going to be haters in life. I don't pay attention to those people. I'm doing what I love and selling out shows all around the world, and I'm getting paid a lot of money to do it," she reveals.
