Is this purple permanent ... just a prank?
On Tuesday, Lauren Conrad posted a blog entry detailing her decision to dye her hair a new hue.
"Sometimes on a Friday I'll work some pink dye into my mane and enjoy pink-tipped tresses until Monday when I wash my hair again … But this time, I decided to take the plunge and try a semi-permanent color. This one stays in for 6 to 8 weeks before washing out," she wrote.
Although Lauren looks lovely with lavender locks, we can't help but wonder if the former "Hills" star is playing a prank. She did post the pic on April Fool's Day after all.
Well, if her mauve mane is for real, L.C. wouldn't be the only celeb taking the purple plunge – Kelly Osbourne, Ireland Baldwin and Nicole Richie are just a few stars who've opted for the lilac look.
"I really didn't think that purple was my color, but after seeing several others wear it recently, I decided to give it a try … It just goes to show that you should never knock a trend until you try it…,"said the fashion designer of her tinted tresses.
