Melissa Joan Hart is proud of her bikini body -- and for good reason!
The "Melissa & Joey" star is showing off her 40-pound weight loss in two new behind-the-scenes snapshots from her Nutrisystem swimsuit shoot.
Rocking a blue one-piece and a pair of stylish sunnies, the former teen queen looks radiant as she relaxes in the pool. She also is spotted spending some quality time with her hubby Mark Wilkerson.
The 37-year-old admits that her husband inspired her to lose weight.
"The best thing about losing weight is that my husband notices my body," the former teen queen told toofab exclusively. "I had to do it for him in some sense. I would say to my husband, 'Why do you work out so much?' and he would say, 'For you! Who else is it for?' He does it for himself but he does it because he wants to look good for me."
"Now I get to return the favor. I'm really happy where I am. I'll definitely be showing off my new body in a bathing suit this summer, starting with Memorial Day!" she adds.
The mom to Mason, 8, Braydon, 5, and baby Tucker gained 60 pounds during her third pregnancy, which prompted the star to go on Nutrisystem in February 2013.
A survey, conducted online in the U.S. on behalf of Nutrisystem by Harris Poll, polled 2,033 Americans and found:
• 23 percent of women ages 35 to 54 have not worn a swimsuit in public in 5 years or more
• 17 percent of women ages 35 to 54 admitted to having not worn a swimsuit in 10 years or more
Since her life-changing decision, the "Sabrina, the Teenage Witch" alum has dropped three jean sizes, all of her baby weight and then some.
Her diet plan is clearly paying off!
