The mother-of-one sat down with the "BBC Breakfast Show" on Wednesday, where she opened up about the joys of motherhood and the public scrutiny that comes with being a professional musician ... especially surrounding women's looks.
"I think we're beautiful creatures. We're always held in high-esteem and I think that comes with a level of scrutiny," Kelly explained, while being asked about conforming to a certain type of image.
"I guess I have always been super confident, in my talent and in what I love to do, it's never really gotten me down," Clarkson added, when asked about dealing with criticism.
"How I grew up, never in my head have I been super concerned with that," she continued. "I've always just worried [about] sounding great somewhere. I get destroyed if I suck somewhere."
We love that Clarkson's more focused on making great music than dwelling on the things her haters have to say!
It also sounds like the blonde beauty is really enjoying motherhood. "She goes everywhere with me. She's eight-months," the "American Idol" alum revealed about her baby girl, River Rose.
The "Since You've Been Gone" singer welcomed her daughter, River, with hubby Brandon Blackstock last June -- and the pop star has shared a ton of pics of her little girl on the road with her.
