The magic of makeup is undeniable.
But while some celebs are almost unrecognizable once their heavy layers of foundation and thick coats of mascara are washed away, the same can't be said for Tyra Banks!
The former Victoria's Secret model posted a completely makeup-free and filterless selfie to her Instagram today. Her bright, dewy skin and gorgeous green eyes are front and center -- but even she admits she considered retouching the pic before posting it.
"You know how people say #nofilter but you know there's a freakin' filter on their pic? Or maybe there's a smidge of retouching going on but they're lying and saying it's all raw & real? Well, this morn, I decided to give you a taste of the really real me," she captioned the pic.
"I wanted to smooth out my dark circles so badly!!! But I was like, 'Naw, Ty. Show 'em the REAL you.' So...here I am. Raw. And there YOU are...looking at me, studying this picture," she continues. "Maybe you're thinking, 'Whoa, she looks ROUGH.' And if you are, great! You deserve to see the REAL me. The REALLY real me. #RawAndReal."
And yes, she's really 41. Not too shabby, right?!
The "America's Next Top Model" creator and host isn't the only star embracing her raw and real face these days. Demi Lovato has been posting makeup-less shots every week since January 2015, encouraging fans to do the same.
"Happy #NMM everybody!!," she captioned her latest No Makeup Monday selfie. "Send me your beautiful bare faces and if you have #DevonneByDemi take a picture with your favorite product #nomakeupmonday #freckles."
Demi launched a line of skincare products, Devonne By Demi, in December 2014.
