Chelsea Handler is standing behind her topless social media shots!
The comedienne opened up about all of her headline-making photos in a new interview with Harper's Bazaar, where she revealed that she's trying to "lessen the sexiness" of a woman's body.
Though Handler dealt with some criticism after sharing her first topless shot on Instagram, that didn't stop her from posting similar photos again and again.
"It just didn't make any sense to me, so I vowed to keep making the point over and over again so that the next time I post a topless picture, it is not news," she tells the site. "It shouldn't be news. It should just be okay."
While many have compared Chelsea's semi-nude photos to those of Kim Kardashan, she says she has a very different end goal than the "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" star.

"I also think desexualizing something is much more interesting than sexualizing it," she explains. "It's a fresher take, and I guess that's the one difference—the only one—between Kim Kardashian and I. She's trying to be sexy. Putting yourself out there in that way has a different motivation. I'm trying to lessen the sexiness of it and make it an actual human body thing."
The 41-year-old also reveals that she grew up topless ... and that even from a very young age, she hated wearing shirts.
"As the youngest of six kids, I grew up spending summers on Martha's Vineyard and I was always topless," she explains. "All the pictures are of me in jean shorts, no shirt; with my brothers playing football. I remember one day, my dad came out on the balcony and said, 'She's getting little buds, shouldn't we put a shirt on her?' And my mom said, 'You put on a shirt on that girl and she will never be the same.' And she was right. She was so right."
And like most women, Handler has dealt with her own issues when it comes to self-acceptance. But, now that the "Chelsea" star is in her 40's, she finally has learned to love herself.
"When I turned 40, which is such a cliché, but I just finally accepted them and I do love them now," she says about her breasts. "I'm proud of them."
