What a time to be alive!
FaceTime played an import role in Emmy nominee Olivia Colman's Emmy look.
When the "The Night Manager" star's London-based shooting schedule prevented her from checking out the beautiful bling at StyleLab's Primetime Emmy Awards Jewelry and Watch Suite earlier this week, the 42-year-old refused to let a little trans-Atlantic distance get in the way of choosing the perfect earrings for her red carpet look.
Michael O'Connor, the style expert who helped coordinate celebrities' red carpet looks at the suite, exclusively told toofab's Rose Curiel that the British actress contacted him via Facetime, letting him know that she wanted to go with an unusual dress-jewelry color combo for today's ceremony.
"She loves green—I guess it's her lucky color, who knows—so she wanted to wear a pair of green earrings and I said, 'It really depends upon the color of the dress,'" said O'Connor of Colman, who wore a red gown to the awards show.
"She didn't have the dress with her, so I said, it's difficult because you could look like a million dollars or you could look like you should be wrapped and underneath the tree," said O'Connor. "So I said, you really need to find the dress and it wasn't until she was able to find me a catalogue shot of the dress, that I was able to determine that the red was deep enough—purple enough [to pair with green earrings]."
Regina King ended up snagging the statuette for "American Crime," in Colman's category but she still looked like a winner to us in her scarlet dress and gorgeous green Susan Eisen drop earrings!
