After initially denying reports she adopted twins from Malawi, Madonna confirmed the news Wednesday in an Instagram post.
"I can officially confirm I have completed the process of adopting twin sisters from Malawi and am overjoyed that they are now part of our family," the 58-year-old captioned a photo of her with the two girls. "I am deeply grateful to all those in Malawi who helped make this possible, and I ask the media please to respect our privacy during this transitional time."
"Thank you also to my friends, family and my very large team for all your support and Love," she added.
Madonna is already mom to Lourdes, 20, Rocco, 16, David Banda, 11, and Mercy James, 11. The latter two were also adopted from Malawi in 2006 and 2009, respectively.
The singer shared a photo of the two girls, Esther and Stella, with daughter Lourdes back in July. "Three beauties," she captioned the pic.
