Whoopi Goldberg thinks Betsy DeVos needs to stop with all the stupidity and just put her money where her mouth is.
"The View" moderator went in on the newly confirmed U.S. Secretary of Education after DeVos was blasted online following a tweet on her first day in office. DeVos tweeted on Monday, "Day 1 on the job is done, but we're only getting started. Now where do I find the pencils?"
The responses were epic.
"She got quite a chewing out from a lot of teachers the other day," Goldberg revealed on Monday's show. "Teachers buy their own supplies and if you don't know that and you are the head of education, you got a problem, Bets!"
Goldberg then offered up some unsolicited advice to the billionaire.
"If you really want to do something that'll be helpful, take some of your money, put it into the education system so teachers can actually concentrate on teaching instead and not worrying if their supplies are gonna last," exclaimed Whoopi. "Remember, we don't pay them enough. So they're not only taking their money, taking care of our kids, but they also have children and a family to raise too!"
"If you really want to help Betsy, you want people to think you are up on top of stuff, go in your pocket and take care of the 50 states, put some money out," she added.
