Donald Glover will star as Simba and James Earl Jones will reprise his role as Mufasa in the upcoming live-action adaption of Disney's "The Lion King."
The film, which will be directed by Jon Favreau (who also remade Disney's "The Jungle Book" and has a sequel for the film in the works) will use CGI technology as well as a green screen to create a similar essence to the 1994 award-winning movie.

"The Lion King" joins the ranks of the ever-increasing live-action Disney adaptions including "Alice in Wonderland" and the unreleased "Beauty and the Beast." Another beloved Disney film ready for the live-action treatment also includes "The Little Mermaid," which will feature music by Lin-Manuel Miranda and Alan Menken.
