The Men of Oscar's Best Picture 'Moonlight' Star in Calvin Klein Underwear Campaign (Photos)

Shortly after the dramatic finale of the Oscars that awarded the cast for their film, Raf Simmons and Calvin Klein released photos from the new campaign on the CK website.

“Celebrating their revelatory performances in the film of the year, we take a closer look at Mahershala Ali, Alex Hibbert, Ashton Sanders and Trevante Rhodes. They tell us what it means to be a man of the moment.”

The four man crew shot the campaign earlier this year with Willy Vanderperre, showcasing the powerful position they hold in Hollywood after such a groundbreaking film. Ali, who took home the Best Supporting Actor for his role in the film, opened up about working with such an amazing cast of characters.“You get older and you think you have some things figured out, but [these younger guys] reminded me of the power of exploring. They reminded me that it's okay to not know everything about life.” Said Ali.

The shoot was inspired by showcasing how these four men, with significant different ages between them, can learn so much from each other. The underwear campaign literally, and figuratively, strips them down to the rawest version of themselves, and where they learn the most from each other. Each actor described not only what working with this cast meant to them, but why fashion matters and how being aware of what you bring to the table that is so uniquely your own, matters most.“These four phenomenal actors whose profoundly brave performances made Moonlight this year's tour de force movie, finding their voice on-screen was just the beginning,” the website said. “With the attention and opportunities that will now come their way, Mahershala, Alex, Ashton, and Trevante can properly announce themselves to the world.
