There's a new standalone "Batgirl" movie in the works from DC Extended Universe and one of Marvel's top talents is taking the reigns.
Joss Whedon is reportedly nearing a deal to write, produce and direct the film for Warner Bros., according to Variety.
If finalized, it's a major deal in the comic book movie universe, as Whedon previously directed "Avengers" and "Avengers: Age of Ultron," two Marvel fan favorites.
