Pierce Brosnan set the record straight Tuesday night about the rumor he'll be playing Marvel character Cable in "Deadpool 2."
“Not true,” the former James Bond actor told Jimmy Kimmel. “Nothing's come my way yet. It's completely made up."
Fan boys and girls started constructing the possibility in response to "Deadpool" star Ryan Renyolds posting an Instagram photo featuring himself sitting next to Brosnan and "Logan" star Hugh Jackman.

View StoryBut Brosnan explained the reality of the situation during his appearance on "Jimmy Kimmel Live."
"We were sitting waiting for a plane, the three of us, and the guy said, 'Quick. Let's get a photograph. Jump in the middle,'" Brosnan said. "Mr. Reynolds said, 'Let's do three wise monkeys,' put it out there, and it went viral."
"I don't lie," Brosnan stressed to Kimmel. "They know where to find me. It's just fabricated."
