The Associated Press reveled over its discovery Sunday that President Donald Trump had a shiny red button on his oval office desk Sunday, which apparently summons his butler to bring him a nice cold Coke.
Of course, late-night hosts Trevor Noah and James Corden had a field day with this on Wednesday while imagining situations which the red button might benefit America.
"The Daily Show With Trevor Noah"
Noah played a news clip revealing that Trump uses the button to call the butler, saying learning about that Trump has two red buttons might cause some problems.
"So a second red button on the President's wrong, what could possibly go wrong?
"You know, it would be pretty bad if he were trying to order a Coke and he accidentally ordered a nuclear strike. But it would also be bad if he had to launch an attack, and he accidentally ordered a soda."
The screen behind Noah flashed an image of Kim Jong-un holding a can of Coke.
"This whole thing is so perfectly Trump. I wouldn't be surprised if he presses the button even when he's not thirsty. He just likes seeing the butler come in with a Coke on a tray, and also because the button is probably Mitt Romney."
"The Late Late Show with James Corden"
Over on CBS's "Late Late Show," James Corden also poked fun at Trump's red button, expressing sign of relief after finding out what the purpose of the button.
"I think I speak for everyone when I say, "Oh that's what the red button on his desk if for! Phew, Thank god!"
Of course, Corden didn't stop there with the jokes.
"It's not just coke, Trump also has a button he presses when there's a protest and it makes Kendall Jenner come out and give everyone a Pepsi."
