The show featured various speakers who highlighted some of the year's top reporting moments and honored all of those who cover the news each day of every year. Minhaj has been openly blasting Trump on "The Daily Show" since he started running for office and Saturday was no exception as he hammered POTUS and the Trump administration harder than ever.

Minhaj gained notoriety back in 2016 when he hilariously roasted congress at the Radio and Television Correspondents' Dinner. Besides just slamming the Republican Party, Minhaj took lots of jabs at CNN, The NRA, MSNBC, Fox News almost nobody was immune and least not no-show Trump.
