How Jimmy Kimmel Pranked Justin Theroux With Jennifer Aniston's Help (Video)

Justin Theroux was a guest on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" on Tuesday, where the late night host surprised the star of "The Leftovers" with one pretty intricate prank.

"I feel like ['The Leftovers'] is one of those shows people need to catch up to," Kimmel told his guest as they sat in the studio. "So, you're in Texas, as we mentioned. I know you're nervous, but I don't want you to be nervous, because this is going to be funny. This is a great idea, OK? Your wife, Jennifer Aniston, helped me out."

Apparently, while he was out of town, he got a "recall notice" for his black Mercedes -- but Jimmy explained to Justin that "there's nothing wrong with the car."

"While you were gone, we got the keys to your car. It was not being repaired. There's nothing wrong with the drive shaft," he said. "So, what we did was -- because I feel like HBO could be doing a better job of promoting this for you -- we had some experts adorn your car in a way that I think is going to bring you a lot of attention."

He wasn't lying.

The camera then cut outside the studio to show Theroux's Mercedes covered in decals of his own shirtless body and messages like "For Your Theroux Consideration" and "Justin Time for the Emmy Nominations."

The hood of the car also had an Emmy hood ornament coming out of a photo of the actor's crotch.

We'll see if Kimmel's hard work paid off when the Emmy nominations are announced July 13.
