Forget winter, according to the new trailer for "Game of Thrones" Season 7, "The Great War is here."
HBO dropped the first footage from the upcoming season on Wednesday, giving fans of the show their best glimpse yet at what to expect when the series returns on July 16.
The clip (above) begins with Cersei (Lena Headey) in King's Landing. "Enemies to the East, enemies to the West, enemies to the South, enemies to the North. Whatever stands in our way, we will defeat it," she seemingly tells Jamie (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau). "We're the last Lannisters The last ones who count." As she's saying this, there's also a shot of Tyrion Lannister (Peter Dinklage) coming face to face with a trio of dragons.

View StoryDaenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) is also seen at her new throne in Dragonstone, proclaiming, "I was born to rule the seven kingdoms and I will."
While Sansa (Sophie Turner) and Arya (Maisie Williams) also make moves of their own, Davos seems to have the most sensible idea: "If we don't put aside our enmities and band together, we will die and then it won't matter whose skeleton sits on the Iron Throne."
He's likely referring to the unavoidable battle against the White Walkers.
The footage ends with Jon Snow (Kit Harington), now King of the North, saying "The Great War is here."
The seventh season of "Game of Thrones" will debut on Sunday, July 16 on HBO.
