Alison Brie and Jimmy Fallon traded stories about bad haircuts Monday night while discussing her new role on Netflix wrestling dramedy "GLOW."
"We cut my hair into a shag and permed it, and it was great. It's a very nostalgic thing, getting a perm," Brie said. "When I was a kid, I grew up in the '80s, so there were a lot of perms. My mom had perms constantly. My aunt was a hair dresser. There was a year when my mom, my aunt, my sister and me all had identical perms."
Brie said she brought a picture of Sigourney Weaver from "Alien" to the hairstylists on set for inspiration, and while her friends managed to make her feel good about the nostalgic hair style during production, now she's not so sure they were being entirely honest with her.

None of my friends have gotten perms. I feel like they were just being nice.”
Fallon could relate, and shared a story about the time he got a free perm by a hairdresser trainee. What was supposed to be a loose, body wave perm ended up leaving the young comedian with "a full-on Mike Brady."
"It was really bad," Fallon said. "It was awful, I just had to grow it out. There's nothing you can really do."
"GLOW" premieres June 23 on Netflix.
