Marisol Nichols is hoping some spooky, supernatural elements start occurring in "Riverdale," and fast!
The actress, who plays Hermione Lodge on the CW series, spoke with TooFab about whether she believes the show could tap into the other side sooner than you think.
"Oh I totally think they could," Nichols said. "I hope they do because [creator Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa] is creating the world of Sabrina right now and it's just across Sweetwater River." A series based on Archie Comics "The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina" has already been picked up by Netflix, with Kiernan Shipka in the title role.
"Hopefully not every season people are going to get murdered," she added. "We need some sort of supernatural mystery, because I don't like losing characters and cast mates!"
'Riverdale' Will Become 'Carrie: The Musical' for Spring Episode
View StoryThere's a popular fan theory out there that the FBI agent who tapped Archie (KJ Apa) to help incriminate Hiram Lodge (Mark Consuelos) is really a ghost. While Nichols was mum on that one, there are a couple other theories out there she happily debunked.
"Someone said I was the Black Hood and I was like, 'Really? He's a man and he's way bigger than I am,'" she exclaimed. "No, I'm not the Black Hood. It's physically impossible. That's a fact."
"It's so funny, I think some fan theory said I was really Archie's mom and it was really funny," Nichols added. "And I was like, 'I don't think so because he looks a lot like his mom,' but sure, we'll go with that."
"Riverdale" airs Wednesday's at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
