Pauly D is more than happy that he and Aubrey O'Day are no longer together, but he was surprised to hear her describing their time together as "tortorous" om the premiere of "Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars" Friday night.
I was very shocked," he told Page Six on Monday. "I'm like, 'Oh wow, this was a bit dramatic. Torturous'? That's an interesting word. If it was tortuous, why would you stay in a torturous relationship?'
"And I'm the one that left her," he added. "I think that's a little bit fabricated but if that's the way she feels, it's a good thing we're not together anymore."

View StoryPauly's "Jersey Shore" cast-mates recently came out in support of the breakup, which looks like it will play out on the current season of "Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars." The new season premiered Friday night.
Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino, along with Nicole "Snooki Polizzi and Angelina Pivarnick, have said that Pauly was "too good" for Aubrey. Mike met her during an earlier season of "Marriage Bootcamp" when she was dating someone else, and apparently wasn't impressed with her even then.
"He always has my back as my brother, and he sees that she's not the right one for me," Pauly said of Mike.
Aubrey admitted to TooFab that she didn't necessarily go into this season hoping to make things better with Pauly. "I truly felt like I was involved in a situation that was extremely toxic and I did not understand why or how to get out of it," she said.
