While it was reported in 2017 that the actress would re-team with "Pretty Little Liars" creator I. Marlene King for a show based on Sara Shepard's book of the same name, updates on the project have been scarce since.

View StoryWhile speaking with Mitchell about her new movie, "The Possession of Hannah Grace," TooFab asked whether the show was still happening. Her response was a simple "No," before pivoting to other projects she had in the pipeline.
"But there's so many different productions that I'm working on right now, having the production company Amore & Vita with Warner Brothers," she explained. "That's been really fun to be on the other side of everything and seeing different projects that draw me in from a producer standpoint."
A studio insider told us "The Heiresses" was a development project from last season that just didn't move forward.
