"It's so wild," Gretchen said. "It still doesn't feel real."
In the interview, they showed a clip of the emotional moment when the couple learned the procedure had been successful. Both Gretchen, 40, and Slade, 45, pointed out "surreal" it all was.
"So when you get to those little milestones and you know you're hearing the heartbeat," Slade said. "It's so exciting but it's also relief."
Just last week, the couple gave viewers an inside look into Gretchen's embryo implantation surgery. (You can watch the video here. Warning: It's a little graphic.)
The Bravolebrities spoke about their "overwhelming" infertility journey and the emotional setback they experienced after Gretchen lost 14 embryos during her first round of IVF. Despite the hardships, Gretchen and Slade said they would do it all over again if they had to.
"There was plenty of times during the process that we were like, 'Oh my gosh. Is this ever going to happen? Is this ever going to come to fruition?'" Gretchen said. "But I think that we're so very grateful, because had we not had IVF, we would not be sitting here right now telling you that we're pregnant."
Slade echoed his partner's thoughts, saying that they "feel so grateful for everything that's happened."
Dr. Nita asked if Gretchen has experienced any physical symptoms since being pregnant. The former Housewives said that she's suffering from severe morning sickness.
"I swear they lie to you about morning sickness," Gretchen answered. "It's all day sickness. It's like the worst ever."
Dr. Nita pointed out, "Well you definitely have the pregnancy glow!"
