Grande drops two F-bombs after her first-ever Grammy win, then criticizes the show for failing to honor Mac Miller.
Ariana Grande may have opted out of appearing at the Grammys, but she was all about them on her Twitter feed, basically live-blogging the event.
From home, she showed off the custom-made Grammy gown she would have worn on the red carpet, offered an acceptance speech and tweeted (then deleted) her disappointment when Mac Miller didn't win Best Rap Album. We're breaking it all down below.
Grammy Awards 2019: The Complete Winners List
View StoryThe "7 Rings" singer won her very first Grammy Award -- Best Pop Vocal Album for "Sweetener" -- just days after she put show producer Ken Ehrlich on blast. The win was announced during Sunday's pre-show, and despite the pop star's creative differences with Ehrlich, she had nothing but gratitude for her team and fans.
After retweeting the Recording Academy's official message announcing her achievement, Grande dropped an F-bomb and an emoji that looked like it was getting ready to cry.
"I know I'm not there tonight (trust, I tried and still truly wished it had worked out tbh) and I know I said I try not to put too much weight into these things, but f--k," she wrote. "This is wild and beautiful. Thank you so much."
Grande went on to thank specifically her producers (including Pharrell Williams), manager Scooter Braun and "every human being at Republic Records." But she's most grateful to the voters "for being my main source of joy and inspiration always."
fuck 🥺

After the show started, Grande proved she was tuned in with praise for Janelle Monae's performance, followed by an impromptu photo session of the custom Zac Posen dress she was supposed to wear to the ceremony.
She was all smiles as she rolled around on the ground for the new pictures, captioning the session on Instagram, "When Zac Posen makes you a custom gown, it doesn't matter if you're singing or not... Thank you."
so good so good so fuckin real @JanelleMonae

Earlier this week, Grande pulled out of performing and even attending music's biggest night after a dispute with Ehrlich that went public. Ehrlich told the Associated Press that the pop star "felt it was too late for her to pull something together" for the show, which prompted quite the response from Grande.
"I've kept my mouth shut, but now you're lying about me," she tweeted. "I can pull together a performance overnight, and you know that, Ken. It was when my creativity and self-expression [were] stifled by you that I decided not to attend." Ken said Grande's response was "a surprise."
Ariana Grande Drops New Album and Video, Blasts Grammys for 'Lying' About Why She Won't Be There
View StoryLater in the show, Grande tweeted then deleted her disappointment when Cardi B picked up Best Rap Album for "Invasion of Privacy." She had clearly been hoping for a posthumous win for Mac Miller, something she made clear in some follow-up tweets, explaining she had not intended to shade Cardi.
The pop star wrote "f--k," "trash" and "literal bullshit" before deleting the comments. When a fan tweeted, "Ariana isn't shading Cardi, it's cause Mac didn't win," Grande responded, "Nothing to do with her. Good for her. I promise. I'm sorry." When another follower said Cardi is "trash tho [for real]," Grande added, "She's not at all and that's not what I meant and you know that."
Another fan expressed disappointment in the Academy, tweeting, "Y'all invited Mac's parents out and you didn't give him an award. Are y'all DUMB?" Grande responded to it with, "This. This is what I meant. Karen was gonna have a green suit made." She added, "He slept in the studio for two months."
She then deleted all those comments as well.
Miller's mother, Karen Meyer, reportedly attended the show with Cazzie David.
2019 Grammy Awards: The Only Moments Anyone Will Be Talking About
View StoryThe only Grammy-related tweets left on Grande's feed are her shoutout to Monae, her princess gown photo shoot and a precious video she uploaded late last night.
Snuggling up with Mac Miller's dog, Myron, Grande wrote, "It's me -- your tiny, highly emotional, Italian and now Grammy award-winning friend. I'm super tarnished lol. But super grateful. Thank you for everything. Myron is in my arms, and he says hi as well."
