The athlete reveals how long he was faithful to his ex-wife, how he feels about her now and whether he still uses drugs.
As Lamar Odom's press tour for his tell-all book, "Darkness to Light," rolls on, so do his quotes about ex-wife Khloe Kardashian.
It's hard for him to talk about his drug and sex addictions without bringing the reality TV star into the picture, as the two were married during one of his lowest points. She was also there for him when he was hospitalized following an overdose at a Nevada brothel, making medical decisions for him even though they were separated.
During an extended interview on "Nightline" on Tuesday night, Odom was asked many times about Kardashian, who has so far declined to comment on any of the claims in his book.

View StoryIn the book, Lamar talked about the night they met at a party back in 2009, explaining how she turned down his sexual advances and spent the night talking instead.
"That's crazy because Khloe, she has the same eyes as my mother," he told Juju Chan. "When I first met her, I was put in a trance by that. I didn't really know who she was."
Odom cheated on Khloe many, many times, but he told Chan he was faithful for "maybe months at a time." He added, "My marriage, I was faithful the first couple of years." In his memoir, Lamar also detailed how he often paid the women he slept with, leaving them $2,000 on the nightstand the next morning. When asked why money was exchanged for sex, Odom said he was "trying to pay for privacy."
Chan also asked Odom about one particularly troubling incident where he, high and paranoid, threatened to kill Khloe after she called one of his friends for help. "You trying to embarrass me in front of my friends? I'll f--king kill you! You don't know what I'm capable of," he recalled in the book.
"I'm pretty sure she had to be scared," he said in the interview, "I couldn't believe how I was treating a queen like that." When asked if he ever apologized to Khloe, he said, "I don't think I have" and added he owes both "her and her family an apology. Big time."
In 2015, after he and Kardashian had separated, Odom was hospitalized after overdosing at the Love Ranch brothel in Nevada following a four-day bender. He maintains he "didn't take drugs" and "didn't sniff cocaine" before his hospitalization, telling Chan, "somebody might have slipped me something ... I was drinking, but I know I didn't do drugs."
Khloe rushed to his side, something Odom said, "let's me know I did something right, I picked the right one." Of Kim Kardashian also flying out to be there for her sister, he added, "It shows you the strength of their family."

View StoryWhen asked if he was "still in love" with his ex-wife, Odom said, "If you get married to someone after 30 days, I don't think that ever leaves, but I try to be rational." He added that he had "spoken to her not too long ago."
Chan also grilled him on his drug use after rehab. Odom told her he doesn't remember the last time he used cocaine and, when asked if he was "high now," he added, "Did I sniff cocaine before this interview? No. There's no more coke in my system."
"All you can do is believe me and if you don't, there's nothing I can do," he explained.

View StoryHe was also asked if he believed 30 days in rehab was long enough. "It depends on the person and where they're at at their life," he said. Of a collapse at a Hollywood nightclub following his treatment, he simply said "it was hot" and not a relapse. He added that he still drinks alcohol and does "enjoy a strip club." It's here Chan reminded him that he's a sex addict. "Mmhmm," he replied.
The interview ended with his daughter, Destiny, saying she's forgiven her father for everything he's put her through, though he said "I still beat myself up" about their past. He also told Chan he'd do another reality show "in a heartbeat."
Odom's memoir, "Darkness to Light" is available now.
