Lisa Vanderpump Speaks Out Following the Death of Her Mother: 'RIP with Mark, Mummy'

Lisa Vanderpump is publicly mourning the loss of her mother, Jean Vanderpump, who died last week in England at the age of 84.

On Tuesday morning, the "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" alum tweeted a family photo showing her with her mom, dad and brother, Mark, who committed suicide in April of last year. He was 59.

"As you go to RIP with Mark, Mummy. A tragic year for sure," the 58-year-old restaurant mogul captioned the picture, which appears to have been taken in the last few years. "I thank all of you for your beautiful messages and words of kindness."

She added, "Life is so fragile and I have no time for negativity."

According to The DailyMail, Lisa is expected to fly to London this week to make funeral arrangements for Jean. She also reportedly stopped filming "Vanderpump Rules."

Two of the show's stars, Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright, will be getting married this coming weekend, but a source told E! News that Lisa will not be in attendance. The show will presumably film the nuptials.

As Lisa said, it's been a tragic year.

Last week, she spoke out about why she decided to quit "RHOBH" after initially blaming her co-stars for ganging up on her during Season 9's PuppyGate saga.

"It was such a brutal season for me, and it was a time where I was floundering," the series OG told RuPaul. "And everybody always says, 'Oh, you look like you got your life together.' But I started that show this season like two or three months after my brother passed, and I just wasn't in the right space."

At the time, Lisa said Mark's passing had come as a "shock" and that she was "completely unprepared" to handle the devastation.

She told Ru that after seeing the way Season 9 played out, Andy Cohen said to her, "I wish I'd given you the year off," a comment he's made on "Watch What Happens Live." In hindsight, she says that might've prevented her from having to face the drama associated with any reality show, feeling ill-equipped.

"I just wasn't as prepared," she said. "I found that I couldn't deal with something that I could normally deal with. And so then it just went on and then it was accumulative, and in the end, I just said, 'I can't do this anymore. I just can't.'"

Earlier this month, Lisa announced she would not be returning for Season 10 of the Bravo series and that she had no "inclination" to attend the Season 9 reunion, which has already been filmed.
