"Stewart went to sleep peacefully in my arms while listening to the sounds of the ocean."
Pour one out for Stewart, the dog who played Cheddar on "Brooklyn Nine-Nine," as the animal actor died earlier this week.
The pooch, who was pet to Captain Raymond Holt (Andre Braugher) and husband Kevin (Marc Evan Jackson) on the show, was one of a few dogs who took on the role -- but Stewart played the part the longest.
"My precious boy Stewart crossed the rainbow bridge today," his owner shared on Instagram.
"We went to the beach (his favorite place) where he frolicked in the surf and then enjoyed a picnic lunch of In & Out burgers," the post continued.
"We relaxed in the sun and just enjoyed each other's company. Our veterinarian met us there later and Stewart went to sleep peacefully in my arms while listening to the sounds of the ocean."
The owner went on to call Stewart "a one in a million kind of dog" who was their "supaah staah."
