The former couple had been making headlines and fueling speculation of a relationship with sporadic appearances together since 2013.
UPDATE 10:15 a.m. 8/20/2019
An insider told Us Weekly, Holmes was the one who decided to end things with Foxx.
We'll keep you updated as more information spills out from what has been the most talked about and long-running unconfirmed celebrity romance.
PREVIOUSLY:
The relationship between Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx has been percolating below the surface of public knowledge for years, and now that it finally appears to be confirmed, it's all over.
After six years of relationship speculation, E! News and PageSix have both confirmed with sources that Holmes and Foxx separated back in May. A source from the music industry also told People that the couple has split. Reps for Holmes and Foxx have not commented, but that's nothing new.
Bella Thorne Slams Jake Paul After He's Seen with a Woman Who's Not Tana Mongeau
View StoryThis revelation breaks just as Foxx has been seen holding hands with singer Sela Vave, as TMZ reported. He and Vave were spotted leaving Lil Pump's birthday party together -- and holding hands -- on Friday in West Hollywood.
Not to worry, though, Foxx is just as hush-hush about this relationship as he was about all those year with Holmes. In fact, a source told People that Foxx and Vave are not together at all, saying that "she's just a girl he's helping out, a young singer."
That may be true, but it's not going to be easy to convince the public or the media of anything after denying a relationship for six years! In fact, Foxx flatly denied his relationship with Holmes back in 2013, calling the speculation at the time "hilarious."

View StoryWas that true then and then became untrue? Or was he just holding his cards (and relationship status) close to his chest? Is he doing so again? Will we ever know anything for sure? Do Jamie Foxx and Katie Holmes even exist? What is reality?
Since 2013, there have just been too many sightings of the couple together, holding hands and celebrating milestones side by side for the public to ever let it go. Basically it was a matter of accepting that they're weren't going to admit it, and accepting that everyone was going to continue believing that they are.
Or were, as the case now appears to be. How do you mourn something that never was, officially?
Anyways, Foxx seems to be focusing on what matters most -- his daughters. The TV host shared a snap of daughters Corinne Foxx and Anelise Bishop from the set of his show "Beat Shazam" late Monday.
He wrote: "#daddydaughtertime on @beatshazamfox. We've had an incredible season, seen so many lives changed, heard amazing stories and had a blast!!! Thank you to all u THE FANS for tuning in!!!! Lastly, much love to our contestant Alan who is no longer with us but shed his light on all of us, God Bless his family. #beatshazam #foxxonfox"
