Rihanna slid into her DMs After Lizzo took to the stage with a medley of her hits "Truth Hurts" and "Good as Hell."
Lizzo brought the house down at the 2019 MTV Video Music Awards Monday night and her performance drew the notice of one Rihanna, who slid into her DMs to share an extremely NSFW commentary.
Speaking to Entertainment Tonight after the show, Lizzo revealed that she got a DM from Riri almost immediately after her medley performance of "Truth Hurts" and "Good as Hell."

Then, as if concerned that maybe Rihanna wouldn't want her message getting out there, Lizzo quickly added, "Don't get mad, Rihanna. I am not trying to blow up your spot, but that was a hard-ass line! I might take that line."
Or maybe, and this could be the best of all solutions, they could share the line in a collaboration. Clearly, Rihanna is a fan so what petition do we need to sign to get them in the studio like we recently saw Lizzo with Justin Timberlake?

"Listen, we need a video of Rihanna in the studio, period," Lizzo said, insisting she just wants Rihanna making music, whether with her or not. "I am not going to bother her, 'cause I know what that feels like, so I am going to let her do what she ought to do. I love Rihanna."
As for that teased collaboration with JT, Lizzo told ET, "We had a lot of fun, we laughed a lot, he's got great energy. And so do I, and so, hmm, whatever we do will be made from love and made from fun. He gets lit in the studio. He goes crazy. He was like, 'Turn up!' It's his world, we're all kind of living in it."
Justin Timberlake Teases Possible Lizzo Collaboration with Behind-the-Scenes Video
View StoryAs she put it, "collaborations, for me, is about the energy and the relationship." It certainly looked and sounds like she and Timberlake had good energy in that studio, so we can only hope the sounds that come out are just as great.
One thing's for sure, both Timberlake and Lizzo have proven that they can put on one hell of a show, so if that collaboration happens, we can't wait until they bring it to the stage at the VMAs, the Grammys ... hell, we'll take it anywhere!
