Someone clearly wasn't a "Samantha Who?" fan.
Christina Applegate unfortunately didn't take home an Emmy for her role in "Dead to Me," but her red carpet interviews easily won the night on Twitter.
The actress, who was up for Outstanding Lead Actress in Comedy Series Sunday night, went viral after she subtly threw shade at E! during her interview with Giuliana Rancic and had quite the reaction to Jenny McCarthy in another.

While speaking with "The Masked Singer" panelist, Applegate didn't seem to hold back her true feelings when it came to some of McCarthy's questions, which apparently hadn't been fact-checked.
Despite being nominated for the category twice for her role in "Samantha Who?" in 2008 and 2009, McCarthy seemed to believe it was Applegate's first time being up for lead actress. In addition to the two "Samantha Who?" noms, Applegate won Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy Series for her role in "Friends" in 1994.
"I know you were nominated for 'Friends' being a guest star role, tonight you're nominated for your show, first time, right? Lead actress?" McCarthy asked. "Well, no. no," Applegate said, pursing her lips. "'Samantha Who?' a couple of times, but that's okay. We don't have to talk about that."
That wasn't the only awkward moment between the "Bad Moms" star and former "View" co-host. McCarthy also told Applegate that she "grew up" watching the star and wanted to be just like her she was older. Applegate is less than 13 months older than McCarthy.

View StoryWhen it came to her interview with E!, Rancic asked Applegate if her daughter, Sadie, was watching the red carpet. In response, Applegate hilariously threw some shade at the network.
"Is she watching?" Ranic said and Applegate replied, "I don't know if she's watching, E!"
