"The 'Stranger Things' kids!" Gad said at one point and Corden added, "All five kids under that coat."
James Corden and Josh Gad may be successful actors, but it doesn't look like they have a knack for identifying people by their voices.
In a hilarious "Late Late Show" sketch, the TV host and "Frozen 2" star pretended to be judges on "The Masked Singer" and had to guess the celebrity hidden under a sparkly costume and giant, feathered headdress -- it was obviously Adam Lambert from the get-go.
Masked Singer Unmasks Two Performers as Lindsay Lohan and Paris Jackson's Names Get Thrown Into the Mix
View StoryAccording to the video's description, Corden and Gad were "originally intended" to be the judges on the popular competition series, before they were fired.
Performing for Corden and Gad, the singer, who has been touring with Queen for years, sang parts of the legendary band's hits, "Somebody to Love" and "Don't Stop Me Now." Although it was extremely obvious it was the "American Idol" alum under the mask, Corden and Gad epically failed to guess it was him.
Gad was "pretty sure" it was Lebron James under the mask at first.
"LeBron James is like seven feet tall!" Lambert responded. "I'm not!"
Apparently the two guys weren't able to judge Lambert's height correctly as they also guessed Kevin Hart and Peter Dinklage.
After many more failed guesses, including Oprah Winfrey, Elvis Presley and Jeff Bezos, Corden and Gad brought up the most out-there suggestion.
"The 'Stranger Things' kids!" Gad said and Corden added, "All five kids under that coat."
At that point, Lambert was fed up. Taking off the mask, he said incredulously, "I'm Adam Lambert! James, I've been on your show like four times man."
"Now that he takes the mask off I can see who it is," Corden said.
Watch it all go down in the clip above.
