Fans went wild after the country icon said, "Taylor is the epitome of a hard worker, talent. You don't have to be beautiful to be a star."
Before Sunday's American Music Awards could even get underway, Twitter was under the assumption that Shania Twain had implied Taylor Swift was not beautiful during a red carpet interview.
That's because the full interview was cut short, making it seem as though the country singer was shading the pop star, and thus, a viral moment was born.
When asked by Entertainment Tonight why she felt Swift was deserving of the evening's Artist of the Decade award, the video showed Twain responding, "Taylor is the epitome of a hard worker, talent. You don't have to be beautiful to be a star."

View StoryFans thought that was the end of Shania's thought and that she was, indeed, implying something about TSwift! But alas, the full video shows the country icon's completed thought.
"Taylor is the epitome of a hard worker, talent. You don't have to be beautiful to be a star, but she carries her beauty with so much grace, without flaunting it," Twain said. "I think she's just a very special person. She's dedicated, serious. She's just a badass woman."
At the end of the show, Taylor even joined Shania on stage.
Clearly, no feud here!
