John Travolta Had No Idea His Wife Was in a Sex Scene With Tom Cruise

Discovering your spouse having even fake sex with another person is extra awkward in a theater full of people.

Ask John Travolta, who had absolutely no idea Kelly Preston was in a sex scene with Tom Cruise — and an extra raunchy one at that — in "Jerry Maguire".

The actor revealed to James Corden on Thursday night that his wife never told him about it, and he only found out when he watched it for the first time.

"You don't even know what awkward is... until you sit in the screening of 'Jerry Maguire' and you don't know that scene is coming up, and your wife is with Tom Cruise in the middle of something — that was astonishing," he said.

"That's awkward," he said. "I had no idea."

As if he needed it, Corden reminded him of Preston's dialogue from the saucy scene, as she screams "never ever stop f**cking me. Don't ever stop."

"Yeah... that was rough," the 65-year-old admitted.

Joining Travolta on the couch were married couple Sam and Aaron Taylor-Johnson, who kicked off the topic of awkward love scenes as the former described what it was like directing the latter in one in their latest film, "A Million Little Pieces".

"We wrote it together so I kind of knew what we were getting into when we were writing it," Sam said. "And then it's another thing when you're filming it."

She admitted she was "feeling something" while watching him simulate making love to co-star Odessa Young on the monitor, before complaining to her assistant director for scheduling the scene to film on Valentine's Day.

"The next morning she had me and Giovanni [Ribisi] naked in the shower, so she got her own back," Aaron added.

Aaron and Sam have been married since 2012; Travolta and Preston since 1991.
