That '70s Show Spinoff Set In the '90s Reveals Cast -- See Who's Playing Eric & Donna's Kid!

Callie Haverda (pictured below) has been cast as Eric and Donna's daughter. "Smart like her mom, snarky like her dad, Leia is craving adventure," reads a character breakdown. "She's just not quite sure where or how to start. Until she discovers a best friend in the most unlikely of places: next door to her grandparents house in Point Place."

Ashley Aufderheide will play Gwen, a "Riot Grrrl" who makes Leia's life a lot "more interesting" after they meet. "Equal parts loyalty, rebellion and heart, Gwen is a dynamic powerhouse and the unofficial leader of the new generation of Point Place kids," says Netflix. "Love Gwen. Fear her. Follow her."

Mace Coronel has been cast as Jay, who is described as "charming and flirty" -- or, "at least, he tries." Netflix adds: "It doesn’t always come out right. When he's not hanging out with his best friend Nate or working at the local video store, he's armed with a video camera and the whole world is his film set."

Other cat members include Maxwell Acee Donovan as Nate, Reyn Doi as Ozzie and Sam Morelos as Nikki.

Nate is described as the "polar opposite of his little sister, Gwen. Nate takes life as it comes, usually with a big open smile. He lets the gang ride in his van because there's always something fun on the other side of the drive. He loves his family, his girlfriend and Garth Brooks."

"Everyone loves them some Ozzie," says Netflix. "He's insightful, sarcastic and has perspective beyond his years. Ozzie is gay and impatient with the world for not being as accepting as his friends."

And Nikki "is focused, smart, and driven. From the outside, you could easily see her becoming a doctor or a lawyer. But inside, she has more rebellion than a frustrated debutante and her boyfriend Nate can scratch that itch."

As for Red and Kitty, the new release adds that "when the new kids bring out the old Red, the spring in Red's step puts a spring in Kitty’s too!"

"A whole new world opens to Kitty with the new generation and she is right at home," says the streamer. "It has never been cooler to be Kitty."

"That '70s Show" is getting a spinoff series at Netflix!

Dubbed "That '70s Show," the series will revolve around the daughter of Leia Forman, Eric and Donna's daughter, as she heads to Wisconsin to spend the summer with her grandparents. Per Netflix, Leia will bond "with a new generation of Point Place kids under the watchful eye of Kitty and the stern glare of Red."

Both Kurtwood Smith and Debra Jo Rupp will reprise their roles in the series. The two also serve as executive producers for the 10-episode show. The creators of the original show, Bonnie Turner and Terry Turner, are also on board as EPs.

Fun fact: In 2021, we're just as far removed from the premiere date of "That '70s Show" as the show's production was from the year in which it was set.

The show originally aired from 1998-2006 and took place over 20 years earlier, from 1976-1979. It's been 23 years since the show premiered, so the '90s setting tracks.

When TooFab caught up with Rupp earlier this year about her work in "WandaVision," we asked her about a potential '90s-set revival -- with Rupp saying she "would do that in a second." Looks like she wasn't lying!

"I am so proud, I am like a proud mother of those kids and how they've lived their lives and how they've grown since the show," she added of the show's original cast. "I'm just very, very, very proud of them."

Rupp said the cast still keeps in touch, something made even easier by social media. "I even recently found Don Stark," she added, referring to the actor who played Donna's dad on the show.

No word on whether any other stars from the original will be back ... but we'd bet on at least cameos from Leia's parents, played by Laura Prepon and Topher Grace.
