Sometimes love deserves a second chance — and all the celebs who have rekindled relationships with their former spouses would have to agree! Despite the fact that they hit a bump in the road and decided to call it quits at one point, quite a few celeb couples agreed that it was worth it to give things another shot. For some famous pairs, absence did in fact make the heart grow fonder but for most, getting things right the second time around proved to be just as difficult as the first. While not all of these celebrity relationships stood the test of time, it definitely taught them a lesson or two. Find out which celebs tied the knot twice...

Eminem and his former wife Kim Scott first tied the knot in 1999, several years after welcoming their daughter Hallie. Their relationship was unfortunately rocky and they split in 2001. But five years later, the couple rekindled their romance and married again in 2006. Kim says she had reservations about things moving so fast and she was right, as they divorced once again just a few months later. “In our relationship, there’s a pattern. Like, we’ll have two good years and then it will go bad for some reason. It’s like a two-year max with us and we hadn’t reached the two years yet. I just didn’t want to rush into anything before the two years,” Kim told ABC.

They ultimately called it quits in 1992. “He was a kind, funny, thoughtful man. Would things have worked out differently for Merv if we had stayed together? I don’t know. Probably not...I have no regrets,” Barbara told Vanity Fair of the relationship.

Tesla founder Elon Musk married actress Talulah Riley for the first time in 2010. They made it work for two years but ultimately split in 2012, with Elon explaining that he had fallen out of love. It appears that absence made the heart grow fonder as they reunited and married a year later. The couple remained together for three more years, although Elon at one point filed and withdrew a request for divorce during their time together. In 2016, the couple permanently split.

Marie Osmond and her husband Steve Craig first walked down the aisle in 1982. They went on to welcome their son Stephen but split in 1985. Over two decades later, the couple reconnected and got married again in 2011 — and Marie even wore the same wedding dress to the ceremony. As to just why they decided to tie the knot once again, Marie joked that it was because their son was about to get married and they didn’t think they should show up to the wedding as a divorced couple. "Stephen was getting married and we [realized] we can't go to our son's wedding and not be married. So we got married a few months before he did. He joked that he never thought it would happen, but it did,” Marie told People.

Pamela Anderson first tied the knot with ex Rick Salomon in October of 2007 but just a few months later, she filed for divorce, citing fraud. The pair eventually reconciled and decided to get married again in 2014. Unfortunately, things didn’t work out the second time either and they once again split. While discussing the split on “The Ellen Show,” Pamela agreed that there’s a lesson to be learned when you go back to something that you know won’t be good. "I know! I get it. I get the lesson. I do that a lot...I keep trying! I forget about a lot,” Pamela said.

Melanie Griffith first met her future husband Don Johnson when she was just 14. By the time she turned 18, the duo had gotten married. Six months later, the couple split, allegedly due to issues with drug and alcohol addictions. Nearly a decade later in 1989, Melanie and Don reunited, remarried, and welcomed their daughter Dakota. They remained together for several years before divorcing for the final time in 1996. Despite the ups and downs of their relationship, the duo are still on good terms. “It’s pretty simple: when you love your children and want to share your life with them, it’s foolish to denigrate or have any animosity with their mother,” he said. “Children model you more than they listen to you,” Don told The Sunday Telegraph’s Stellar magazine.

Former “Real Housewife” NeNe Leakes and her husband Gregg first got married in 1997 and went on to welcome their son Brentt in 1999. They remained together until 2011 when they filed for divorce. Fortunately, they were able to work through their issues and remarried in 2013. The couple were married until Gregg’s untimely passing in 2021. “I filed for divorce because I always felt like you have to teach people how to treat you and I felt like at that time that Gregg wasn't treating me the way I felt I should be treated. It was me teaching Gregg a lesson, and I think he got it,” NeNe said of the couple’s split.

Snoop Dogg met his future wife Shante Broadus when they both attended Polytechnic High School, even going to prom together. They tied the knot in 1997 and during their eight years together, they welcomed three children. He filed for divorce in 2004, but called it off shortly after their daughter Cori was diagnosed with Lupus. Snoop says the condition showed the couple they “need to be together forever.” While they were never actually divorced, they did renew their vows in 2008. "It’s amazing how this all turned out. We were gonna get a divorce. But we wouldn’t have gotten through it [that way]," Shante told People.
