Carrie Underwood won't be pulling a "Britney Spears" anytime soon!
The 29-year-old graces the cover of Allure magazine where she opens up about protecting her modesty, her thoughts on gay marriage and her country image.
The blonde beauty knows a thing or two about performing live, and one thing she never takes the stage without ... shorts.
"Underneath every skirt, every dress, I'm wearing shorts. So that everyone in the world knows, if I ever fell down, nobody would get a peek at anything." She also wears different colored shorts from her onstage ensembles, "so that everyone knows they're not seeing my undergarments ... so sad," she tells the mag.
Underwood, who admits that she's religious, came out recently in favor of gay marriage. "As a married person myself, I don't know what it's like to be told I can't marry somebody I love," she admitted in to the UK's Independent newspaper.
"I'm in favor of acceptance. And I am a Christian person, and I do love the lord, and I feel no matter who you are, what you believe, how you live your life, it's not my place to judge," she tells the mag.
She also wants you to know she's nothing like Hayden Panettiere's character on "Nashville!"
"I'm not like that at all. It's juicy but I hope not everybody thinks that everything goes down like that in Nashville and that we're evil," she explains.
