It's the biggest fashion event of the year ... the annual Costume Institute Gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
The biggest names in fashion and entertainment hit the red carpet, including Jennifer Lopez, Jennifer Lawrence, Jessica Alba, and of course, Beyonce Knowles.
Beyonce and Rooney Mara were co-chairs of this year's Met Gala, which was themed "PUNK: Chaos to Couture" -- and there were plenty of nontraditional looks on the arrivals line.
Ivanka Trump sported dark streaks in her hair while Rooney Mara had a zippered dress that would work for her "Girl With a Dragon Tattoo" character Lisbeth Salander.
And then there was Miley Cyrus, Nicole Richie and Nina Dobrev -- three gorgeous gals who all sported some crazy hair creations that definitely were inspired by the '80s. And not in a good way.
And while many thought Kim Kardashian would never be invited to a Vogue event, she hit the carpet with baby daddy Kanye West, looking like she threw on some of grandma's curtains and cut a leg slit in them.
