Travis Barker and Shanna Moakler went through a nasty (and very public) split, but now, they're on much better terms.
The famous exes have put their differences aside for the sake of their two kids, Landon, 12, and Alabama, 10.
"The kids' best interest is what we all have in mind – there's nothing else," the Blink 182 rocker tells PEOPLE. "Our relationship was so long ago. We're just being friends. Doing the best coparenting is the most important thing."
One way the former couple keeps their kids' lives stable to by sharing a house, that they both live in at different times. "I bought a home that's very close to my children's school, so when she's with the kids, she's there; when I'm with the kids, I'm there," he explains. "There's no making them travel back and forth to different houses."
Travis and Shanna finalized their divorce back in 2008, but Barker admits he's not focusing on finding love again. "I'm so content with my music and cars and my companies and my kids and touring, and I can't even imagine being the greatest boyfriend all the time," he tells the mag. "If I met someone, of course I'm not against it. But the best role I have in life is being a father."
While marriage isn't on the horizon yet, he hasn't ruled out having another baby. "Never say never. My daughter always begs me for a baby sister or something, but it's honestly about finding the right person," the proud dad says.
We're happy to hear these two have mended their relationship for their kids!
