Paul Rudd made it very clear you'd be stupid to walk out of his Marvel movie before the lights come up.
Does "Ant-Man and The Wasp" have an end credits bonus scene?
Everyone going into any Marvel movie knows to stay through the credits at this point, but the star of the latest superhero offering, Paul Rudd, made it very clear that you'd be stupid to walk out of his movie before the lights come up.
So yeah, the answer is: yes!
The MCU is known for teasing its upcoming films or connections within them all with mini-scenes during and after the credits of their movies and their latest release is no exception.
Appearing on a recent episode of "Late Night with Seth Meyers", Rudd confirmed that his second go-around as the size-shifting superhero will end with some sort of connection to "Avengers: Infinity War," which -- SPOILER ALERT -- ended with more than half of the cast vanishing into dust.
We already know "Ant-Man and The Wasp" takes place between the events of "Captain America: Civil War" and "Infinity War," with Rudd dropping a few details on why he was MIA for the latter.
"I'm under house arrest, if you remember at the end of 'Civil War,' all the Avengers are fighting and I get caught and put under house arrest. That is why I'm not in 'Infinity War,'" he explained. "Hank (Michael Douglas) and Hope (Evangeline Lilly), they're not talking to me, we're kind of at odds."
"I don’t know if I’m supposed to say this but I'll say it," he then teased. "It happens kind of concurrently and it's very important because it doesn't exist in a vacuum. You have to stay through the end, through those post credit scenes, there's some mind-blowing stuff in there that kind of ties into 'Avengers: Infinity War.'"
While Rudd then added, "I think I messed up," Meyers said that intel would only "make more people see the movie."
You'll just have to see if his slip (which was likely not a slip at all) pays off when "Ant-Man and The Wasp" hits theaters Friday July 6.
