Paula Abdul could make her triumphant return to the televised talent competition genre with ABC's revival of the Ed McMahon classic "Star Search."
According to EW, the ex-American Idol judge is putting the final touches on a deal with ABC to headline a resurrected version of the same show that once discovered Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera -- expected to air this summer.
Rumors are Abdul will do a mix of hosting and judging, but a rep for the network refused to comment.
