"The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" has finally found its Lisbeth Salander: "Nightmare on Elm Street" star Rooney Mara.
Mara, who played "Nancy" in the the "Nightmare" remake, will co-star with Daniel Craig in director David Fincher's film version of the popular, three-book series.
Natalie Portman, Carey Mulligan, Kristen Stewart and Scarlett Johansson were all rumored to be up for the lead role in the movie, which will start filming next month in Sweden.
This will be Mara's second movie with Fincher -- she also stars in his upcoming Facebook flick, "The Social Network."
