Naomi Watts is opening up about her two-year relationship with Heath Ledger.
"We had a beautiful relationship," says Watts of their time together from 2002-2004.
"He was a man who was completely full of joy, and there was a lot of laughing and affection. He was really a very special soul," she tells More magazine.
She adds, Heath "was a great actor, but I know there was so much more to come. It's such a tragedy for his little daughter."
After the two split in 2004, Watts went on to date, marry and have two children together Liev Schreiber.
Ledger married and had one daughter, Matilda, with actress Michelle Williams.
