Even supermodels like Kate Moss, Miranda Kerr and Heidi Klum had to endure model casting calls at one point in their careers.
TooFab's Anna Kachikyan visited one of these casting, or as the models call them, cattle calls at the Penthouse Showroom in L.A. fashion's district. Hundreds of models stood in line for hours waiting to audition in front of ten designers showing at L.A. Fashion Week, which begins October 16.
The designers were pleasantly surprised by the big turnout. The models who had participated in previous L.A. Fashion Weeks were also shocked to find out about their wait ahead -- two to three hours -- which made the competition even more fierce in an already cutthroat industry.
