Author Nicholas Sparks helped make sexy Ryan Gosling a romantic lead with “The Notebook,” and now it's Zac Efron's turn with “The Lucky One.”
In the romantic film, Efron who plays Logan Thibault, and Iraq veteran who travels to North Carolina in search of Taylor Schilling's character Beth Clayton. Efron believes Schilling was his lucky charm overseas, after he discovers a photo that belonged to her. The two begin to develop a romantic relationship, but in true Nicholas Sparks fashion, hit many obstacles.

The film is set to release in April of 2012.
