When "Jersey Shore" returns next season, you're going to see a very different Situation.
Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino is opening up for the first time about his stint in rehab earlier this year in a new interview with MTV. Watch him explain the root of his problems below:
"My addiction was prescription painkillers. At first, I thought it gave me energy, helped me," he tells MTV's Sway. "Being in this business is not easy. I made a mistake by picking a substance over what I previously chose, which is fitness."
He adds that he never had a problem with alcohol or cocaine abuse and even says he was barely drunk on the show -- because "You can't get girls if you can't speak to them."
In another clip (watch below), he talks about how his cast mates reacted to the news, saying they were all very supportive. "At the end of the day, all the kids care for each other," he says.
As for the future of the show -- Sitch will be back and also says he'll still be fist pumping on a nightly basis at Karma.
